I am exploring sheep breeds in West Wales as they seem to be so different from the sheep in North Yorks and even mid Wales where I have lived before. My neighbour keeps Badgerface sheep and they are gentle and funny actually. I now know lots of smallholders who have struggled with lambing this year through the wettest March, hats off to them. I love to celebrate our agricultural heritage and hope this keeps farming in the forefront of people’s minds, it’s a tough labour of love.
