Description
The conversations you’ll be glad you had.
We can know someone for years and still ask them the same old questions.
Sleep alright? What did you have for tea? Want anything from the shops?
Stick the Kettle On Society is about changing the conversation.
Put the phones aside for an hour, make a cuppa, pick a card and see where it takes you. The questions are designed to uncover the funny, ordinary, surprising and occasionally hair-raising stories hiding inside the people we think we already know.
Find out about first jobs, disastrous dates, nights out, dodgy fashion choices, childhood adventures, family characters, triumphs, mishaps and things they probably shouldn’t have got away with.
Inside your kit
Each small-batch box contains:
- Conversation cards packed with questions to get the stories flowing
- A notebook to record the wild and beautiful bits you don’t want to forget
- Bamboo pen
- Stamped Sue Dewhurst art card
- Stick the Kettle On Society fridge magnet to pin a question
- Society membership card
- A cuppa
- A few nostalgic bits of yesteryear ephemera to help shake loose a memory or two
Use it with your mum or dad, grandparents, grown-up children, an old friend, a neighbour — anyone you’d like to know a little better.
Because our stories aren’t just the big important moments. They’re the daft things, the everyday things, the things that still make us laugh forty years later.
And one day, somebody will be very glad you wrote them down.
Put the kettle on. Ask a better question.
